Amid the shopping, baking, wrapping, packing, and planning – whew – put on a coat, grab the binoculars and step outside to get a glimpse of the “Christmas Comet”. According to the experts, there are only a few days left to see this wonder in the sky.
If you own a telescope, now is the time to get it out. Even binoculars make a huge difference by allowing you to see different twinkling colors. It looks so much like a sparkling disco ball in the sky that it almost doesn’t seem real. It is a magical reminder of just how big and marvelous the universe and its Creator truly is.
You can get all the astronomy details from Google. But, what I can confidently share is that viewing this cosmic phenomenon is definitely worth braving the cold and staying up past bedtime. Or if you don’t have a dark yard in the country, go ahead and grab a hot chocolate to-go and find a good spot to stop along your holiday lights tour.
If you’re like me and think you just don’t have time, then that’s the very reason you need to take the time. Take a moment (and a deep breath) to gaze at the sky and put the reason for the season in perspective.
P.S. If you want to find that nice yard and home in the country, ya know, the perfect spot for future comet viewings, give us a call. J
