What do you look forward to most this fall?

While some people are holding on with dear life to the flip flops and tanning lotion of summer, others are eager to get out the flannel and the jeans and enjoy the crisp clear mornings that fall has to offer.

To help the summer die-hards ease into the coming season, here are a few ideas to make your home cozy this autumn.

  • Save a few colorful leaves and combine them with small branches or twigs to create a fall display on tables or mantles.  Antique pitchers can serve as vases to add a touch of charm.
  • Drape blankets of red and orange plaid over chairs or at the foot of the bed.
  • Hang wreathes of dried fruits, corn cobs, or sprays of wheat and fall foliage on doors and in windows.
  • And, don’t forget the pumpkins.  Decorate your porch or entryway with a colorful mix of pumpkins and gourds to welcome you home and welcome fall.

From pumpkin spice to hayrides and s’mores by the campfire, enjoy this season of living!
